My passion for photography I guess started on a Christmas morning when I received a Kodak Instamatic camera with an extra box of flash cubes. It was time to start documenting all of our family vacations, holiday dinners, and wonderful candids of mom and dad, brothers and sister, my nieces and nephews.
During my high school summers, I would climb on the Diversey Avenue bus and ride to downtown Chicago capturing the city on film through the eyes of a teenager. I am including an album of those photos on this site, it’s a unique look at the city in the spring and summer of 1972. That was an incredible time of creative growth and independence for me. An integral piece of the fabric growing up in Chicago was being a devout Bleacher Bum in the friendly confines of Wrigley Field. Opening Day for the Cubs meant a terrible sore throat that forced me to miss a day of school...being a Cubs fan requires serious therapy, I’ll leave that chapter for another time.

During my professional career, I had the opportunity to see most of the states and many international destinations through the eyepieces of 16mm film, video, and still cameras. Before recently retiring from the corporate world my job had evolved into the role of Creative Director where I was responsible for developing and producing a variety of media for print and broadcast. I worked with some of the most creative people on the planet.
I’ve gone through a few cameras since that Christmas morning and have made the transition from film to capturing all of my images digitally. My printmaking has shifted from darkroom to desktop and as much as the technology has changed, the one constant has been my love of photography and experiencing so much of my personal and professional life through the eyepiece of a camera.
Life is good,
