Sanctuary
| I currently reside in the town of Presque Isle in the Northwoods of Wisconsin, (Wisconsin's Last Wilderness). The cabin on the lake has proven to be the genesis of inspiration and interpretation. It’s a gathering place for family and friends and a place of solitude and art. It’s a home, a studio, and a gallery. Sustenance consists of a six pack of Coronas, the necessary limes, a shot of Cuervo at the Retreat, an occasional quart of milk and a mushroom cheeseburger at PI Pub. All work stops at 4:00 on Saturday for the card draw. A great deal of the images of the northwoods were shot not far from my cabin. The Northwoods is a very spiritual place where the seasons are virtual, the air is sweet and the sense of nature palpable. It’s my purpose to capture and share all of that. |
